Every day, hundreds of thousands of people travel through JFK, many boarding flights for destinations across the globe. It’s ironic, however, that while we live so close to a transportation center of this magnitude, we do not have a reliable public transportation system that can take residents from one Queens neighborhood to the other. The commuters who travel to and from our borough for work or school on a daily basis are at a serious disadvantage. They do not have access to high-quality transportation, and as a result, have become isolated from the rest of the city.
